The name of the club shall be the Ottumwa Radio Control Flyers (Ottumwa R/C Flyers). The location of the club shall be Ottumwa, Iowa.
The objectives of the club shall be to promote model building and flying
in Ottumwa, Iowa, and in such city’s general locality, and to aid insofar as
possible the national program of the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) and
other AMA activities, looking toward the continual advancement of model
aviation in all its phases in the United States.
2. All special or local enterprises of the
Ottumwa R/C Flyers shall conform to the policies of the Academy of Model
Aeronautics and to the regulations of that
organization governing model aircraft contests.
persons living in Ottumwa, Iowa,
or nearby vicinity shall be eligible for membership in the Ottumwa R/C Flyers,
provided they meet qualifications prescribed by this club and by the Academy of Model Aeronautics, and hold an
individual flyer’s license issued by the Academy. As a member of the Ottumwa R/C Flyers you are
encouraged to serve at least one term as an officer or board member.
1. There shall be one regular meeting each
month, to be established by the Board of Directors or the Club membership.
2. The annual meeting shall be held in January
of each year for the purpose of election of officers.
3. The normal order of business shall follow Robert’s
Rules of Order.

from the Newsletter and membership roll.
4. No special assessment shall be levied upon
the Club membership at any time, except by vote of the paid membership, and
then only upon majority of those present at regular scheduled meeting.
The Treasurer of the Club is authorized to receive
contributions or special-obtained funds from any individual or institution, to
be applied to the operation expenses of the Club.
All Club members must have current year AMA membership to
